During the Open Day of Construction on Saturday 5 June last, the building site of entrance South was opened up for the public. From 10.00 hours, visitors were welcome at the Information Center, which formed the starting point of a visit both to the Westrandweg and the 2nd Coentunnel. A shuttle bus was driving the visitors to and from these locations.
At the construction site, a walking route had been created. Along this walking route, the subcontractors were represented with equipment. Furthermore, throughout the day Fundex has taken visitors on boat rides to the pontoon, where actual work was being carried out on the dividing wall. During this boat ride, visitors were given an explanation about the ins and outs of this dividing wall.
After the boat ride, the visitors could enjoy a tasty ice cream from ice-cream magician IJsco Ali. During this day, approximately 350 visited our project, which means that the open day was a success.
